I have extensive experience of sharing stories with children of all ages. Stories can be ‘one off’ events, or followed by workshops in classes, to stimulate speaking and listening, writing and creative work. The stories are based on popular children’s picture books, with a strong moral message, or my own stories. Schools also ask me to devise a show based on a theme of their choice. I present them in a funny, knockabout way, with lots of audience participation, banging and crashing, and as many silly props as I can cram into my car. The shows are multi-sensory experiences, and appeal to all children, including those with learning needs or learning English as an additional language.
